CYG-11 type is China’s first 12 sets WIG that can land andtake off on the sea.
It is understood that the CYG-11 type WIGcan carry 12 people or cargo weights of 1200kg. Good economic performance with28L/100KM fuel consumption.
According to reports, known as WIG flyingboats, combined aviation technology and marine technology, bearing advantages fromboth technologies, accelerating after two hundred meters in the lake or sea,able to continuous flight for more than two hours, as long as the waters fieldsare about 400 square meters, WIG will be able to freely land in the water. WIGadvantages are: less overall investment, without the construction of a largerunway, terminal and other comprehensive facilities; rapid flight speed, 10-15times than vessels, 3-5 times of a speedboat; big load ratio of 50% ofself-weight, the load proportion of aircraft is less than 20%; a wide range ofapplications, in the sea, ice, desert, grassland, swamp unhinderedlanding and flight; can avoid radar and sonar scanning, can be widely used inmilitary fields. Ground effect vehicle is a way to reduce the induced drag, andcan get more efficiency from the Effect of hydrodynamic lift to drag ratio:When the aircraft flying close to the ground, due to the lower floor reducewash down of the wing, the entire aircraft pressure difference is increased,and thus in the case of constant angle of attack to increase lift, reduceinduced drag and increased pitch stability of the aircraft.
